The Honeywell C7015A1092/U flame sensor includes a lead sulfide photocell sensitive to infrared radiation emitted during the combustion of fuels such as natural gas, oil and coal.

Basic provisions

• Especially suitable for combined or dual-fuel radiation and compatible with a wide range of flame applications.

• If installed correctly, the control flame and/or the flame of the main burner can be controlled.

• Easy to mount on a standard 3/4-inch diameter inspection tube.

• The lead sulfide photocell is connected to the electrical outlet assembly C7015A and can be replaced in the field.

• Sensitivity of the lead sulfide photocell to infrared radiation.

• Models with lead wire lengths of 30, 48 and 96 inches [0.76, 1.22, 2.64 m] are available.

• Flexible metal cable protects and electrically shields the detector wires.

• Available accessories include heat block, sealing adapter, gear bushing, swivel mount and diaphragm plate.

Specifications

1. Lead wire: 96V

2. Length: 2.44 m

3. Lead-sulfide element: 104662D

Installation

1. The flame detector wires should be as short as possible. The maximum length of the lead wire from the lame sensor to the flame protection device is 50 feet [15.2 m].

2. The flame sensor wire extensions must be laid separately in a rigid or flexible metal pipeline. When the wires of the frame detector come out of the pipeline, they should be as short as possible, twisted and should not be included in bundles or channels containing other wires. Rigid metal tubing is preferred when the flame detector wires are elongated, but flexible metal tubing that is supported to minimize movement can be used.

3. The flame detector flex cable shield must be grounded to the flame protection control sub-base either directly or through a metal cabinet connection system containing the flame protection control sub-base and the flame detector wires

4. When wiring the flame sensor through the junction boxes, identify the junction boxes using pressure-sensitive tags attached to the flame sensor.

5. Underwriters laboratories inc. requires that the junction box has a marking indicating that it is impossible to connect other wires through it. Put a warning sticker on the junction box.

6. Maximize the distance between the high-voltage ignition converter wires and the flame sensor wires to avoid ignition interference.
