Honeywell C7035A1064/U photo cells are designed to detect ultraviolet radiation that is released by a flame. These flame detectors are designed for use in Honeywell flame monitoring systems in order to detect the presence of flames in burners running on gas, oil or combined fuels.

Features:

- The Resideo C7035A1064/B UV sensors are compatible with the R7249A, R7290A, R7749B and R7849A, B amplifiers, as well as with the corresponding Honeywell control devices.

- The flame control sensor C7035A1064 is equipped with a built-in cuff with an internal thread of 1-11-1/2 NPSM for installation on a one-inch inspection tube.

- The housing of the Honeywell C7035A1064 flame detector meets the standards of Underwriters Laboratories Inc. for protection against moisture and the NEMA standard for cabinets of type 4 and 4X.

- When properly installed, the C7035A1064 can be used at pressures up to 5 psi.

- The C7035A1064/U UV reading tube can be replaced on-site in the field.

- Two flame detectors C7035A1064/B can be connected in parallel in cases where flame reading is difficult.

Specifications:

- Flame detection ability: End of flame.

- Ambient temperature range: -18°C to +121°C or -40°C to +121°C, depending on the model.

- Maximum allowable pressure: 5 psi (34.5 kPa).

- Installation: The cuff with internal thread 1-11-1/2 NPSM is designed for installation on a one-inch inspection tube. (For C7035A1064 models with DIN certificate, thread 1-11 BSP.P1 is provided)

- Electrical connections: Two 6 ft [1.83 m] long wires with color indication, conforming to NEC Class 1 and designed for temperatures up to 204°C. One of the models comes with 12 ft [3.66 m] long wires). There is a 1/2-14 NPSM thread at the back of the detector for connecting wires.

The basic requirements for installing an ultraviolet flame detector include:

1. Direct visibility of the flame:

- The detector must be in the line of sight of the flame in order to respond effectively to the ultraviolet radiation generated by the flame.

2. Exclusion of other sources of ultraviolet radiation:

- In order to exclude possible interference from other sources of ultraviolet radiation, such as ignition sparks, it is necessary to provide such detector locations to avoid exposure to these sources.

3. Proximity to the flame:

- For more effective flame detection, the detector should be placed as close as possible to the flame source, taking into account physical limitations and temperature requirements.

4. Consideration of physical conditions and temperature restrictions:

   - During installation, it is necessary to take into account the physical parameters of the environment and observe temperature restrictions in order to ensure reliable operation of the detector.

Compliance with these requirements will ensure proper operation of the UV flame detector, ensuring reliable detection and safe operation of the flame control system.
