Honeywell C7035A1080/U UV flame detector
Honeywell C7035A1080/U photo cells are designed for effective detection of ultraviolet radiation emanating from a flame. These flame detectors are designed to be integrated into Honeywell flame monitoring systems, providing high sensitivity and reliability when detecting flames in burners running on gas, oil or combined fuels.
The main features include:
- Compatible with the amplifiers R7249A, R7290A, R7749B and R7849A, B, as well as with the corresponding Honeywell control devices.
- Built-in cuff with 1-11-1/2 NPSM internal thread provides easy installation on an inspection tube with a diameter of one inch.
- The detector housing meets the requirements of Underwriters Laboratories Inc. for protection against moisture, as well as NEMA standards for cabinets of type 4 and 4X, providing reliable protection.
- Can be used at a pressure of up to 5 psi with proper installation.
- The possibility of replacing the tube for reading ultraviolet radiation C7035A1080/U in the field, which provides ease of maintenance.
- The possibility of parallel connection of two flame detectors C7035A1080/B to reduce problems when reading the flame.
Flame detection features include:
- Ability to detect the end of the flame.
- Operating ambient temperature range from -18°C to +121°C or -40°C to +121°C, depending on the selected model.
- The maximum allowable pressure is 5 psi (34.5 kPa).
- Installation using a cuff with an internal thread of 1-11-1/2 NPSM for an inspection one-inch tube. (For models with DIN certificate, thread 1-11 BSP.P1 is provided)
- Electrical connections include two 6-foot-long [1.83 m] color-coded wires conforming to NEC Class 1 and designed for temperatures up to 204°C. One model comes with 12 ft [3.66m] long wires). There is a 1/2-14 NPSM thread at the back of the detector for convenient wire connection.
Basic installation requirements
1. Providing direct visibility of the flame.
2. Exclusion of exposure to other sources of ultraviolet radiation, such as ignition sparks.
3. Placing the detector as close as possible to the flame source, taking into account physical and temperature restrictions.
4. Consideration of environmental conditions and temperature restrictions to ensure stable operation of the detector.
These measures guarantee the effective functioning of the UV flame detector and ensure the safety and reliability of the flame monitoring system.
