Honeywell C7044A1006/U UV flame sensor, side view
Honeywell C7044A1006/U flame detectors are designed to efficiently detect ultraviolet radiation emanating from a flame. These devices are designed to be integrated into Honeywell flame monitoring systems, providing high sensitivity and reliability in determining the presence of flame in burners running on gas, oil or combined fuels.
The main properties include:
- Compatible with the amplifiers R7249A, R7290A, R7749B and R7849A, B, as well as with the corresponding Honeywell control devices.
- C7044 A 1006 can also be used with the following 50-hertzov gorenje combustion control devices/Honeywell amplifiers:
- R4341/R7323
- R4343/R7323
- R4344/R7323
- C7044A 1006 is secured with two screw-on brackets. The UV reading tube is placed in a stainless steel case.
- When controlling the flame, C7044 A 1006/U can be used to observe the side of the flame or its end.
- Due to its compact dimensions, the C7044 A 1006/B is well suited for installation on a purge pipe.
- Thanks to the compact dimensions, the C7044A1006/U is well suited for installation on a blow-down pipe.
- Two flame detectors C7044A 1006/B can be connected in parallel in cases where flame reading is difficult.
Flame detection features include:
- Ability to detect the end of the flame.
- Operating ambient temperature range from -18°C to +121°C or -40°C to +121°C, depending on the selected model.
- The maximum allowable pressure is 5 psi (34.5 kPa).
- Installation using a cuff with an internal thread of 1-11-1/2 NPSM for a one-inch inspection tube (or threads 1-11 BSP.P1 for models with a DIN certificate).
- Electrical connections include two 6-foot-long [1.83 m] color-coded wires conforming to NEC Class 1 and designed for temperatures up to 204°C. One of the models comes with wires 12 feet long [3.66 m]. A 1/2-14 NPSM thread is provided at the back of the detector for convenient wire connection.
Basic installation requirements include:
1. Providing direct visibility of the flame.
2. Exclusion of exposure to other sources of ultraviolet radiation, including ignition sparks.
3. Placing the detector as close as possible to the flame source, taking into account physical and temperature restrictions.
4. Adaptation to environmental conditions and temperature restrictions to ensure stable operation of the detector.
These measures ensure the effective functioning of the UV flame detector, guaranteeing the safety and reliability of the flame control system.
