The Resideo VR420FE5002-1000 gas control units are gas solenoid valves used to control the flow of gaseous fuel in a variety of gas-consuming devices, such as burners, boilers and furnaces. They are designed for use both in systems with spark ignition of the burner and with pilot burners.

They include two main valves: V1 and V2. V1 opens and closes quickly, and V2 can react either quickly (with flow control) or slowly (with control and the ability to adjust the opening).

A pressure control valve is located between V1 and V2. The main body is equipped with 4 flange connections for the installation of various equipment, such as the C60VR series pressure switch, intermediate pressure switch and valve inspection systems (VPS) together with the pressure switch. Design and principle of operation

The Resideo VR420FE5002-1000 combined gas valves are devices controlled by two-position mechanisms that perform the functions of opening and closing valves. Each of these devices includes two key elements: a coil and a sleeve. Inside the sleeve there is a plunger, which is connected to a rubber valve and has a coating that prevents excessive friction.

The operation of these valves is based on a specific system in which the spring pressure ensures that the valves are kept in the open position. The main component is a pressure servo controller, which includes a pressure relief valve built into the diaphragm of the regulator, which controls the control valve.

The supply of energy to both devices leads to the passage of gas through the diaphragm into the system and the regulator. This generates a "servo gas" that lifts the membrane. When the control valve is open, the pressure generated by the Resideo VR420FE 5002-1000 gas solenoid valve is regulated by the diaphragm via feedback.

When the pressure in the diaphragm becomes higher than the set level, the control valve partially reduces the operating pressure, which allows it to partially close. This ensures that the output pressure is maintained at a stable level, despite changes in the input pressure. When disconnected, a small amount of working gas from the regulator is ejected into the main chamber.

An adjustment screw is used to correct the pressure. If regulation is not required, the full pressure of the "servogas" determines the position of the control valve depending on the pressure.

Mounting position

The gas valve can be installed at an angle of plus or minus 90 degrees to the vertical. The distance between the gas valve and the wall/floor must be at least 30 cm.
